Fiorentina defender Marcos Alonso has spoken of his anger over his side’s loss to Roma yesterday.

The Giallorossi defeated the Viola 2-0 courtesy of goals from Radja Nainggolan and Gervinho, and Alonso was frustrated with his side’s first half effort.

“There is a bit of anger, we threw away the entire first half and we did not play our usual football,” Alonso toldĀ Mediaset.

Afterwards, however, we improved and the team appeared to be more courageous.

“It ‘s still too early to talk about our objectives, now we have to think about the match against Genoa and grow as a team.

“We want to improve from last year, but do not forget that today we also missed [Giuseppe] Rossi and [Juan] Cuadrado.”
