Mario Balotelli has reportedly arrived at Liverpool’s Melwood training ground on Friday as his switch from AC Milan to the English club looks close to being completed.
The 24-year-old will apparently finalise a €20 million deal with the Reds this weekend, though he may not be confirmed as a Liverpool player in time for their Premier League meeting with his former club Manchester City on Monday.
According to Sky Sports UK, the Italian international landed in Liverpool on Friday afternoon and made his way over to the club’s Melwood training ground soon after to undergo his medical for the team before signing his contract.
The striker, who joined Milan from Manchester City in January 2013, has scored a total of 26 goals in his 43 Serie A appearances for the Rossoneri since his arrival, with 14 goals and six assists coming in his 30 league appearances last term.
Balotelli will supposedly be wearing the number 45 shirt for Liverpool once his move is finished.
