Barcelona may step up their attempts to sign Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado once again after Fifa rejected their appeal against a year and a half transfer ban.

Earlier on Wednesday Barcelona’s appeal against a transfer ban was rejected, leaving them unable to buy players until January 2016, meaning that any signings they want to make in the next couple of seasons need to be completed now.

Now, according to Tuttomercatoweb, the Catalans could be get to reignite interest in the Colombian after previously abandoning their pursuit of the player due to Fiorentina’s €40 million asking price.

Cuadrado is currently under contract until June 2017, though he was left out of La Viola’s squad for the recent friendly victory against Real Madrid on August 16, increasing speculation at to his future.
