Bayern Munich are looking at the possibility of bringing PSG midfielder Marco Verratti to Germany.

The talented 21 year old Italian international has recently requested a salary increase at a time when the Parisien club are looking to tighten their financial belts.

As reported by Gazzetta dello Sport, Verratti, who has four years left on his current contract, is currently paid €2 million per season excluding bonuses and is said to be after a new deal to remain in the French capital.

The German champions are seeking to replenish their midfield corps due to Javi Martinez tearing his knee ligaments and will be out for at least six months, plus Bastian Schweinsteiger is also suffering from knee issues.

A meeting is reportedly scheduled this weekend between assistant athletic director Olivier Letang of PSG and Verratti’s representatives to discuss his future.
