Conte informs players about potential Italy call-ups

Conte - ItalyItaly coach Antonio Conte has sent a notice to a handful of overseas-based players informing them about potential call-ups to the national team.

The tactician has let the players know they could be part of the Azzurri side that will face Netherlands on September 4 as well as the Euro 2016 qualifier against Norway on September 9.

According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, the players contacted by the former Juventus coach include Borussia Dortmund’s Ciro Immobile, Paris Saint Germain’s trio of Thiago Motta, Marco Verratti, and Salvatore Sirigu, Bayer Leverkusen’s Giulio Donati, Sunderland’s Emanuele Giaccherini, Southampton’s Graziano Pelle, Zenit’s Domenico Criscito, and both Fabio Borini and Mario Balotelli, regardless of where their club futures might lie.

Conte begins his spell as the Azzurri coach following three glorious years with the Bianconeri, winning three straight Scudetto’s whilst also recording a 49-game unbeaten run in the process.
