ConteItaly coach Antonio Conte is considering bringing Roma centre back Davide Astori into the Azzurri set-up before the Euro 2016 qualifiers.

Conte was officially named as the Azzurri boss on Thursday, and it now seems that he will be arriving in Rome to discuss his philosophy and his requirements with the board members.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the former Juventus boss will prefer a three man defence with Andrea Ranocchia, Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli to be the main contenders, though it seems he is keen on adding Astori to the mix.

In midfield, he is likely to continue with Andrea Pirlo and also slowly integrate Marco Verratti as a regista.

The forward line is rumoured to comprise of Mario Balotelli, Giuseppe Rossi and Alessio Cerci.

However, Conte might provide some of the youngsters, such as Domenico Berardi of Juventus and Manolo Gabbiadini of Sampdoria, an opportunity to shine on the big stage.

Also, the three time Scudetti winner is determined to find a ‘Paul Pogba type’ for Italy, as he believes this will be crucial to the success of the Azzurri.
