Chievo coach Eugenio Corini said his side tried hard until the end of their 1-0 defeat to Juventus on Saturday evening and it was difficult with the amount of changes at the club this summer.
An own goal in the sixth minute by Chievo defender Cristiano Biraghi sent the Flying Donkeys off to a losing start to the new campaign.
“We suffered in the first half and made a few changes at the break but we found it difficult but we did have a great chance to equalize through Maxi Lopez”, Corini told Sky Sport Italia.
“We stayed together as a team, had the right attitude but we need to work on a few tactical things as we have many new faces this season”.
Cheivo face a trip to Napoli when their season resumes after the international break.
