Roma’s Daniele De Rossi believes that this season the squad is growing in strength but that the side struggled against Fiorentina.
The Giallorossi saw off Fiorentina 2-0 this evening at the Stadio Olimpico in a closely fought game and followed in the footsteps of Juventus who beat Chevio earlier in the day.
“We are a strong team and we are growing,” admitted De Rossi to Mediaset after the game.
“We suffered [tonight] against one of the best teams in the league. The first game is always has its ways, but we have an organised team that will help us acclimatise to the new players better.”
The Giallorossi’s next Serie A game is away at newly promoted Empoli and De Rossi and the rest of the Roma squad will look to build on their win against Fiorentina.
