New Inter defender Dodo has revealed that facing Roma as a Biscione player on Saturday will feel like seeing an ex-girlfriend too soon after a breakup.
The Nerazzurri are set to go up against the Giallorossi in the United States for a Guinness International Champions Cup match on August 2 and the 22-year-old, who joined the Milan side from the Lupi on a two-year loan in July, has insisted that meeting his former club so soon may feel a bit strange.
Dodo spoke to Sky Sport Italia about having to already play against Roma after recently completing his move to Inter and admitted that he’d rather get the first meeting out of the way before the Serie A season begins.
“Having to play against Roma already? It will have an effect,” said the Brazilian. “It’s a little strange, yes. It’s so early.
“It’s like having to see an ex-girlfriend shortly after having a breakup. However, it’s better that the first meeting is coming this soon so I’ll already be used to it once we have to face them during the season.”
