New Swansea City signing Federico Fernandez has revealed that playing in the Premier League this season will be a dream come true.
The 25-year-old finalised his move to the Swans from Napoli after signing a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee on Wednesday and he admits that he’s excited to begin his new journey in England.
Fernandez spoke to the press after completing his transfer to Swansea about why he decided to join the club and thanked the Welsh team for giving him the chance to play in the Premier League.
“Playing in the Premier League has always been my dream,” said the Argentina international. “I have to thank Swansea City for giving me this opportunity.
“I spoke at length with Michu, who played with this club in Wales before joining Napoli, and he has spoken very highly of this team.
“I also spoke to Jordi Amat and Alvaro Vazquez, who are dear friends of mine, and they helped me make my choice.
“They all told me that life is good here. I’m ready to start this new adventure.”
