galliani silvio berlusconiAC Milan vice-president Adraino Galliani says President Silvio Berlusconi visit to Milanello on Friday gave new coach Filippo Inzaghi and players a huge lift as victory in the Trofeo Tim was secured on Saturday evening with Keisuke Honda the standout performer.

Galliani was clearly delighted with the visit of the president and victory in the tournament as Milan defeated Juventus 1-0 with a goal from Japanese playmaker Honda and Sassuolo 2-0 to claim the trophy.

“The visit of the president on Friday gave everyone a huge boost and he told me he hopes to come to Milanello every Friday”, Galliani told Milan Channel.

The vice president also had praise for Honda after the games and hopes his form continues as the season draws nearer.

“Congratulations to Honda, he deserves this trophy as he was the best player on the night. He scored a nice goal tonight as in the game in Valenica.

“We always knew about his qualities and former Japanese coach Alberto Zaccheroni always spoke very highly of him”, Galliani added.
