Roma head coach Rudi Garcia feels that his side’s win against Fiorentina was down to his players’ abilty to maintain possession.

A dominant first half performance was enough to see the Giallorossi claim a 2-0 win against the Viola before Morgan De Sanctis kept Roma ahead with a string of fine saves in the second half.

“We had a great game against Fiorentina, the strong point of the team was our possession,” Garcia told Sky Italia following the game.

“During the first half we always had the ball and I am happy for the new players in defence.

“[Konstantinos] Manolas has been able to adapt to our game very quickly.”

“During the first hour of the game we played at a high tempo and played aggressively.

“Fortunately when our game dropped, Morgan De Sanctis was great, he saved us on two occasions.”

He then adressed the remaing hours of the transfer window,

“There will probably be another player to come.”
