Gian Piero Gasperini GenoaGenoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini expressed his sadness after his side conceded a stoppage time goal to Napoli, thereby losing the game 2-1 at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

Jose Callejon had given Napoli the lead as early as the 3rd minute, only for the scores to be levelled by a Mauricio Pinilla header near the interval.

However, Partenopei’s new signing Jonathan De Guzman tapped in a 95th minute goal to break the hearts of thousands at Genoa.

“There is great disappointment for losing at the end because we had such a great game.” said the former Inter boss at the post match conference.

It was a high-intensity game with both sides creating equal number of chances in front of goal, with some brilliant end-to-end football.

“During the last minutes we dropped off and we were not able to bring home a point.

“We created many chances, playing in attack clearly but also suffered from their counter attacks.” he concluded.
