Hellas Verona are reportedly on the verge of signing Udinese forward Nico Lopez and could complete their purchase of the youngster in the coming days.
The 20-year-old, who arrived at the Zebrette from Roma in July 2013 after spending just one season with the Giallorossi, has also been linked with a possible move to Serie A sides Genoa and Empoli in recent weeks, but the Mastini are seen as the favourites in securing his signature as the summer transfer window is coming to a close.
According to GianlucaDiMarzio.com, Hellas Verona could finalise a deal with the Uruguayan as soon as Tuesday, especially since the young forward would apparently favour a move to the Gialloblu and would be willing to reject any other offers coming his way.
Nico Lopez scored two goals in his 21 Serie A appearances for Udinese last term. The forward has also scored 10 goals in his 16 appearances for Uruguay’s Under-20 national team.
