Ciro Immobile has spoken of the influence of coach Jurgen Klopp in his decision to move to Borussia Dortmund.
The 24 year old moved from Torino to Gemany after winning the Capocannoniere last season with 22 goals, helping the Turin club to a Europa League spot in the process.
“I’m trying to improve my relationship with the coach, because I think is important in order to improve,” said Immobile.
“Borussia wanted me so hard and also the same for Klopp and this was important for my decision.”
Immobile also told of just how intensely Klopp studied him before the transfer, “He [Klopp] told me saw 70 of my matches to study my movements, that is more than my father!”
Immobile was signed by Dortmund for a reported €19.5 million along with Adrian Ramos and Ji Dong-Won to replace Robert Lewandowski who departed for Bayern Munich.
