Inter have completed the signing of Cardiff City midfielder Gary Medel.
The 27-year-old defensive midfielder joins the Nerazzurri after playing just one season in the English Premier League after signing for the Bluebirds from Sevilla for a club record €13.7 million in August 2013.
The contract was deposited with the Lega Serie A on Wednesday with the Chilean now registered as an Inter player and a press conference is expected on Thursday to present Medel to the media.
The tough tackling midfielder is expected to line up along side fellow new recruit Yann M’Vila in the heart of the Inter midfield in the coming season as Walter Mazzarri’s side look to close the gap to Juventus and Roma and challenge for the Scudetto.
Medel made 34 appearances for Cardiff in the Premier League last season, but failed to prevent his side being relegated to the Championship.
