Inter are still chasing Hoffenheim star Roberto Firmino, and could make an offer before the transfer window closes next week.

The 22 year old Brazilian had a sensational season in the Bundesliga with the club last season, and has attracted the interest of elite clubs around Europe.

The attacking midfielder continued in the same vein on the opening weekend of the new season, collecting an assist in his side’s 2-0 win over Augsburg.

Sport Italia report that Inter are ready to make a huge investment by attempting to secure Firmino from the German club.

Having already agreed a deal with Sunderland for Ricardo Alvarez, Inter are now trying to shift Fredy Guarin off to either Juventus or Zenit in order to raise enough funds for Firmino.

Developments are expected in the coming days as Inter try to secure one final coup before the window closes on Monday.
