Inter have turned to out-of-favor Liverpool striker Fabio Borini to boost their striking department.

The 23 year old Italian international has been told by his boss Brendan Rodgers that he can leave the club, and has already rejected the chance to join Sunderland permanently.

Sky Sport Italia report that Inter would be willing to take Borini on loan for the campaign, with an option to buy if the loan is successful.

Liverpool however, are adverse to another loan deal, and would rather shift the Italian out permanently.

Developments are expected to hot up as the the final day of the window approaches, as Inter ramp up their search for a striker.
