Inter midfielder Mateo Kovacic believes that he shouldn’t be seen as a complete player until he’s able to score at least 10 goals per season.

The 20-year-old has become a rising star for the Nerazzurri since his arrival to the club from Dinamo Zagreb in January 2013 and many of his peers have high expectations for him in the upcoming campaign, though he feels he still has some work to do.

Kovacic spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about his growth as a player since joining Inter and admitted that he needs to make some changes to his game in order to help the San Siro outfit earn success in Italy and Europe.

“I’ll only be seen as a complete player when I can score at least 10 per season,” said the Croatian international.

“Before, I had only looked to my team-mates first and then would look to the goal. However, now I must do the opposite and try to score more.”

The midfielder failed to net any goals for the Biscione last term but managed to provide four assists in his 32 Serie A appearances.
