Inter’s Primavera team have won the 2014 edition of the Trentino Cup after defeating Napoli and Hellas Verona.
The tournament is held in Mezzano in the province of Trento and consists of three 45 minute matches with penalties used to decide the winner if the matches end in a draw.
The Nerazzurri began with a 2-0 win over Verona with goals from Demetrio Steffè and Pedro Delgado. The Gialloblu suffered another loss in their second game going down 2-0 to Napoli.
In the third and final game Inter and Napoli drew 1-1 after 90 minutes but the Nerazzurri won the penalty shoot-out 2-1 with Gaston Camara hitting the winning spot kick.
It’s the third year of the tournament with Bayern Munich winning the previous two editions.
