Inter boss Walter Mazzarri will reportedly build his attack around Mauro Icardi for the Biscione’s first Europa League play-off match against Stjarnan.

The Nerazzurri will be facing off against their Icelandic opponents in Iceland on Wednesday during the first of two legs and it seems the Italian side will be mostly depending on the 21-year-old striker to secure an advantage by netting some away goals, as he is one of the Milan side’s most used players throughout the pre-season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Mazzarri may use a combination of Mateo Kovacic, Hernanes and Ruben Botta in the midfield to support Icardi and provide him with enough chances to help Inter land a victory.

Mauro Icardi scored nine goals and provided two assists in his 22 Serie A appearances for the Biscione last term.

Inter will be hosting Stjarnan in the second leg of their Europa League play-off matches at the San Siro on August 28.
