AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi was pleased with his team’s performance in their 3-1 victory over Lazio.

The Rossoneri proved their strength and effectiveness of their summer acquisitions with their win thanks to Keisuke Honda, Sulley Muntari and a Jeremy Menez spot-kick.

“We have used these 50 days to grow, we’re created a nice group,” Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia.

Though despite his positive outlook, Inzaghi acknowledged that it was only the first match of the season.

“Today we won, but we must not delude ourselves.

“For the first hour, we alomst played a perfect game, then we struggled a little bit against Lazio, who will be the surprise of the season.”

When asked about his club’s new acquisition of Spanish striker Fernando Torres on loan, Inzaghi was emphatic.

“Torres is the player I wanted, he will give us a big hand, giving way to play on the counter-attack with his speed. He is physically very well, as evidenced by the tests carried out today.”
