Juventus have rejected an offer from Manchester United for Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal.

United revived their interest in the player after a summer of speculation but the Scudetto winners are adamant that the player will not be sold in this transfer window.

According to Tuttosport, the Red Devils made a concrete offer of €40 million plus Javier Hernandez for Vidal’s signature which was immediately rejected.

Hernandez is a known target of the Bianconeri but they remain determined to keep Vidal at Juventus Stadium despite the tempting offer.

Vidal’s agent had been spotted in Manchester and it has been reported that he had delivered the bid on United’s behalf.

Juve sporting director Giuseppe Marotta has rejected the offer in no uncertain terms as he does not feel he will be able to secure an adequate replacement for the Chilean before the transfer window shuts on September 1.

Vidal made 32 appearances for Juventus during the 2013-14 Serie A season and scored 11 goals.
