The defender has only been with the Bianconeri for a single season, and has been unable to secure a first team spot during his time at the Juventus Stadium.

It has been suggested that Sevilla would be interested in the former Torino man to fill the hole vacated by Fazio, who was recently sold to Tottenham Hotspur.

Spanish website EstadioDeportivo.com contacted Juventus’ sporting director Fabio Paratici, who denied any contact from Sevilla.

“We have never thought of getting rid of [Ogbonna],” Paratici admitted. “We would only start doing business in exchange for an offer of €15 million.

“Anyway,” he went on, “nobody has been in contact about the player, least of all Sevilla.”

Ogbonna crossed the city from Torino to Juventus in the summer of 2013 for a fee of around €13m, but made only 16 appearances for the Vecchia Signora last season.
