Juventus have signed Hellas Verona midfielder Romulo on a season long loan.

The Bianconeri have been tracking the 27-year-old for some time and have now finally got their man.

Juventus’ official club website declares that they have signed the midfielder on a season long loan for a fee of €1 million.

The agreement also provides the Old Lady with the option to buy the player outright at the end of the loan deal for a fee of €6 million which will be paid in installments spanning three years.

It is important to note that this option will automatically be triggered if Romulo features in at least 60 per cent of Juventus’ official games this season.

Romulo was part of Italy’s 30-man provisional squad for the World Cup and it was thought that he would have been in the 23-man squad that travelled to Brazil if he had not sustained an injury that forced him to pull out.
