Juventus sporting director Giuseppe Marotta has deflated rumours of striker Radamel Falcao being linked with a move to the bianconeri.

The Turin giants are reportedly monitoring additional strikers as the transfer market nears it’s end, with the Colombian poacher surfacing as a sensational link before deadline day.

Speaking to Tutto Mercato Web, Juventus sporting director Marotta said: “Falcao? These rumours are fueled by the media.

“We have not had any contact with Monaco or the player’s agent, he is out of reach.”

Strikers Mirko Vucinic, Fabio Quagliarella, and Pablo Osvaldo have all departed from the Serie A champions, which leaves more room for experienced reinforcements.

Juventus have  already signed 21-year old Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid for a fee of 20 million and Cristian Pasquato of Udinese for 1.5 million.

Despite concerns about form after  a severe knee injury that kept Falcao from World Cup action, Chelsea, and Real Madrid have also emerged as clubs in need for the strikers services as the transfer deadline draws near.
