Juventus star Andrea Pirlo has been ruled out of action for one month.
The Bianconeri are set to face Chievo at the Stadio Bentegodi in the opening game of the 2014/2015 Serie A season, but will have to do so without their midfielder who picked up a knock in the Trofeo TIM on Saturday.
The club have announced that Pirlo underwent an MRI scan which revealed that he has pulled a tendon in his rectus femoris muscle, an injury which should keep him out of action for one month.
It is also worth mentioning that the former AC Milan midfielder will miss five Serie A games, including the tie against his former club on the 20th of September.
