Juventus are targeting AC Milan goalkeeper  Christian Abbiati, as they seek cover for Gianluigi Buffon.

With current reserve keeper Marco Storari edging closer to a move to Sassuolo, The Bianconeri are looking to replace Storari with Italian keeper Abbiati, who Massimiliano Allegri managed at the San Siro.

However, any interest in a loan deal has been intially rejected by Milan, according to La Stampa. This is despite the veteran keeper, who holds four international caps, being 37-years-old and out of contract next June.

It is believed Milan may prefer to loan out Michael Agazzi or Brazilian keeper Gabriel, having themselves signed a new first-choice keeper in Diego Lopez from Real Madrid.

In fact, Abbiati does have previous with Juventus as he spent the 2005/06 season in Turin as he appeared 19 times during a loan spell.

In addition, Abbiati has spent loan spells out at Torino and Atletico Madrid, in amongst his 16 year spell with The Rossoneri, accruing a record 269 Milan appearances between the sticks.
