Juventus have turned their attention to Standard Liege goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima as they look for cover for incumbent Gianluigi Buffon.
The 31 year old Japanese international has established himself as one of the best keepers in the Belgian top division, and could be set for a move to the reigning champions.
Tuttomercatoweb reveal that Juventus sent scouts to watch Kawashima in his side’s 1-0 loss to Zenit Saint Petersburg in their Champions League playoff match.
With backup keeper Marco Storari closing in on a move to Sassuolo, the Bianconeri may step up their efforts to prise Kawashima away from Standard.
Kawashima has less than 12 months to run on his existing deal, and Juventus believe they can secure him in a cut-price offer this summer.
