Lazio striker Miroslav Klose has revealed that he’s training hard in order to be fully prepared for the start of the 2014-15 season.
The 36-year-old, who has previously stated that this season could be his last as a professional footballer, is looking forward to a successful Serie A campaign with the Biancocelesti and wants to be ready to give his team any help that may be needed.
Klose spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport after Lazio’s 2-0 away friendly win over Hamburg on August 8 about his preparations for the new season and commented on the love he had received from the German fans.
“Receiving so much love has given me a lot of pleasure,” said the Germany international, who helped lead his country to ultimate victory during the 2014 World Cup while becoming the tournament’s all-time top goalscorer in the process.
“Now, however, we must look to starting again. I feel the burden of the new season approaching. I want to train well so I can be ready for the start of the Italian league.”
