Lazio reject €20 million Liverpool bid for midfield starlet

Balde Diao Keita Lazio have rejected ’s bid for young striker Keita Balde Diao who are looking to bolster their attacking options.

The 19-year-old scored five goals in 25 appearances for the Rome club last season and has also been linked with Juventus and Manchester United during recent weeks.

Sky Sport Italia reports that Lazio have rejected Liverpool’s initial €20 million bid for the Senegalese born Spanish youngster with the Biancocelesti demanding €30m for the striker instead.

Keita came into prominence when he scored 47 goals as a 15-year-old during his season long-loan at UD Cornella, where he was sent by Barcelona as a punishment for playing a practical joke on a teammate during the youth team’s trip to Qatar, before moving to the Stadio Olimpico a year later in 2011 for €300,000, after rejecting a chance to go back to the Spanish club.
