Lazio are on the verge of signing 18-year-old Croatian defender Franjo Prce from Hajduk Split.

The youngster is expected to finalise the deal in the coming days and link up with the Biancocelesti’s Primavera team.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb.com, Prce will travel to Italy in the immediate future to sign for Lazio in a deal worth €300,000, with official confirmation expected to arrive early in the week beginning on August 18.

“It’s practically done, I will be in Italy next week, I am so happy, I can’t wait!” said Prce himself.

“Lazio are a club with great tradition, a strong squad and excellent players like Miroslav Klose, Senad Lulic and Antonio Candreva.”

“Plus, this season they signed Stefan de Vrij too.

“I am still young, so I have time to improve and grow.”

The 18-year-0ld was a regular for Croatia’s Under-17 side in the 2013 European championships as the Croats were eliminated at the group stage after finishing behind Italy on goal difference.
