Lazio have enquired about the availability of Real Madrid’s young striker Jese Rodriguez.

A long-standing target for the Biancoceleste, the 21-year-old was in good form for Real in his breakthrough season and scored eight goals in 26 appearances before he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee that ended his season prematurely.

LaLazioSiamoNoi reports that the Spanish club are willing to give the player out on loan to help him recover from his knee injury as he isn’t expected to make a comeback until late October or early November.

However, Lazio president Claudio Lotito won’t agree with Real’s proposal of a loan deal with the right to make the transfer permanent at €15 million that will also include a buy back clause for Los Merengues similar to that of Alvaro Morata as he doesn’t want the Serie A club to develop a player and then let him go back.
