Leeds United are set to battle with Latina to secure the signing of Ternana froward Mirco Antenucci as the Elland Road outfit seek to find a potent goal scorer.

Massimo Cellino is keen to add the well-traveled forward and he is ready to make an official bid for the player in the coming days, before Latina make their move.

Leeds are believed to be Antenucci’s most likely destination as Latina are wanting to take the 30-year-old on loan whereas the Whites are prepared to sign the player outright, something that Ternana would much rather do, according to Sky Sport Italia.

Antenucci has played for no fewer than nine clubs during his varied career and recently enjoyed one of his most productive seasons with Ternana last season when he scored 19 goals from his 40 Serie B outings.
