Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Inter striker Mauro Icardi ahead of the 2014-15 season.
The 21-year-old has been on the radar of several other big clubs throughout Europe in recent weeks including Monaco, Chelsea and Manchester City, but it seems the Reds are the most serious in their pursuit of his services and could be on the verge of making an offer.
According to QS-Il Giorno, Liverpool would be ready to make a bid of €20 million for the Argentine, though Inter would supposedly need some convincing as they are currently unwilling to sell the young forward this summer.
However, some reports also suggest that the Biscione may be looking to offload Fredy Guarin or Ricky Alvarez before the market closes and could possibly offer either of the players to the English club instead.
Icardi scored nine goals and provided two assists in his 22 Serie A appearances for Inter last term.
