Mario Balotelli - AC MilanAC Milan and Liverpool are discussing a deal to loan striker Mario Balotelli to Anfield.

Super Mario’s 18-month stay at the San Siro could be coming to an end, as Liverpool look to replace ex-striker Luis Suarez, with a loan deal looking most likely.

As the Daily Star report, a permanent deal was ruled out by Milan due to Liverpool’s insistence on a ‘good behaviour’ clause.

This has led to a temporary move, which would cost around €4 million with the potential to make it permanent for around €20m, as the 24-year-old looks likely to return to the league he spent two-and-a-half years at with Manchester City, during which he scored 23 goals.

It is also believed that the striker’s agent Mino Raiola is currently in England for talks, which could see a deal progress rapidly in the coming days.

Italy’s first-choice striker since Euro 2012, Balotelli has been a controversial figure since breaking into the Inter team in 2007 and continued to be such following a transfer to Man City in 2010.

Since January 2013 Mario has been at Milan, holding the sum total of 28 goals from 51 appearances in all competitions.
