Lokomotiv Moscow are in pole position to sign Napoli striker Eduardo Vargas this summer.
The 24 year old Chilean international has only one year left on his current deal, and Napoli would rather sell him now than lose him on a free.
Tuttomercatoweb report that Lokomotiv have made it known to Napoli that they are seriously interested in the diminutive forward.
Napoli could use Vargas as bait in a deal for Lassana Diarra, Lokomotiv’s wantaway midfielder and a target of Partenopei boss Rafael Benitez.
A deal is far off at the moment, and other clubs such as Arsenal, Valencia, Spartak Moscow and Dinamo Moscow are all interested in Vargas as well.
What looks certain though, is that Vargas will leave the Azzurri by the end of the transfer window.
