Mexes – AC Milan
Manchester United are being linked with a sensational move for AC Milan’s Philippe Mexès.
The Red Devils are searching for defensive reinforcements after losing both Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand in the summer, and have been linked with Roma’s Mehdi Benatia amongst others,
Now, according to the Corriere dello Sport, the Rossoneri’s 32-year-old centre-back is among the candidates Louis van Gaal wants to strengthen the Old Trafford outfit’s backline.
Mexes has a year remaining on his current Milan deal and with wages of €4 million a season, the Rossoneri may be keen to part with the Frenchman, who made 22 appearances in Serie A last season.
