Manchester United have reportedly submitted a €30 million bid for Roma defender Mehdi Benatia.
After missing out on key targets Thomas Vermalen and Mats Hummels, it is believed that the Red Devils have turned their attention to the Moroccan star.
According to the Daily Mail, United have approached Roma to buy the defender who has developed into one of the finest defenders in the Serie A after a great maiden campaign with the capital club.
Roma have previously been unwilling to sell their prized asset, but reported interest from United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich may force their hand.
The 27 year-old made 33 appearances for Roma last season, netting five times.
