Federico Fernandez NapoliNapoli have focused their attentions on obtaining the services of Liverpool’s Daniel Agger to replace Swansea bound Federico Fernandez.

The €10 million deal with Swansea for the Argentine centreback looks set to be completed in the next few days and the Naples outfit will resume their efforts to sign the Danish international having chased him during the January transfer window last season, before eventually signing Brazilian defender Henrique from Palmeiras.

Il Mattino reports that as well as from the 29-year-old, Napoli are also chasing  Mateo Musacchio of Villarreal, with their Uruguayan central defender Miguel Britos also set to leave the club.

Another defender the Partenopei are said to be looking at is Olympiakos’s Greek defender Konstantinos Manolas, who has just resumed his club duties following the post World Cup break, though they face stiff competition from fellow Serie A clubs Juventus and Roma.
