Napoli are locked in negotiations for Villarreal midfield dynamo Jonathan de Guzman.
The 26 year old Dutch international has spent the last two years on loan at Swansea, and may leave the Spanish club if a suitable offer arrives.
Sport Italia report that Napoli have made an initial loan bid with an option to buy for de Guzman, but Villarreal would rather accept the outright €7 million offer from Queens Park Rangers.
The player himself would prefer a move to the Serie A club, but it looks like they must match QPR’s offer to have a chance of enticing the player.
De Guzman made 48 appearances in all competitions for Swansea last year, scoring seven times.
