Pandev - NapoliNapoli forward Goran Pandev may have to take a wage cut in order to join AC Milan before the transfer window closes.

The 31-year-old, formerly of Lazio and Inter, is under contract until June 2015, but wants to leave Napoli due to a lack of game time. Milan are looking to bolster their attacking options, especially as star striker Mario Balotelli is in talks over a move to Liverpool.

Rumours of Pandev’s departure were sparked when coach Rafael Benitez left him out of the Napoli squad for the Champions League qualifier against Athletic Bilbao.

According to Il Mattino, Milan are the only club willing to pay Pandev’s wage demands, but have asked Pandev to take a discount in order to join the Rossoneri, as they are keen on the deal.

Milan remain interested in other players, including Douglas Costa, Fernando, Adrien Rabiot and Maxime Lestienne, as they look to strengthen their squad before the transfer window closes.
