Napoli midfielder Jonathan De Guzman has Tweeted his thanks to former club Villarreal after completing his move to Serie A.
The 26-year-old joined the Partenopei on a four-year contract, after spending the last two seasons on loan at Premier League club Swansea City.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Villarreal for giving me the opportunity to represent Villarreal at the highest level of football,” he wrote on Twitter.
“Although my stay was short, I have long lasting memories with this club. Many thanks to the organisation, administration, fans, coaching staff and teammates.
“I wish Villarreal continued success in La Liga.”
De Guzman joined Villarreal in 2011 and made a total of 26 appearances for the club.
