Roma president James Pallotta believes that Bayern Munich and Manchester City are unsettled by the Serie A side’s presence in their Champions League group to start off the 2014-15 campaign.

The Giallorossi were placed in Group E with Bayern, City and CSKA Moscow during the competition’s group stage drawing on Thursday and the capital city club’s chief admits that he’s looking forward to seeing how his team can match up against some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Pallotta spoke to Roma Radio about his eagerness to see Roma perform in the Champions League and placed his confidence in his players’ determination to win.

“It’s nice to be here, everything has happened quickly in two months,” said the president.

“The Champions League? I am very happy because we are not a lowly rated team and I’m convinced that Bayern Munich and Manchester City have not been happy to see us in their group.

“Now I can’t wait to see the players on the field, especially the new ones. This is a team that is hungry for victory.

“We want to return to place where we deserve to be, which is in first place.”
