Paloschi: Chievo will be ready for Juventus

Chievo striker Alberto Paloschi has attempted to calm fears that the side may struggle when they welcome reigning Serie A champions Juventus to the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi on Saturday evening, insisting that any lack lustre displays were due to tiredness from the conditioning work undertaken for the upcoming season.

The 24-year-old instead expects the Flying Donkeys to prove a difficult test for the Bianconeri and will be physically ready and looking to provide an upset in the season opener.

“During pre-season we could not express ourselves well because of the amount of work done, but we are finding more fitness as the weeks go by,” Paloschi told Tuttomercatoweb.

“Against Juventus we’ll be ready, we want to have a good match playing as we do.”

With 13 goals for the Gialloblu last term in Serie A the former AC Milan youngster will be vital to the club improving on a 16th place finish last term and will be looking to open his Serie A  account against the Old Lady.
