Parma midfielder Gianni Munari will reportedly complete a move to English club Watford in the coming days.

The 31-year-old has only spent one season with the Crociati and is already set to leave the Italian side for the Pozzo family-owned Football League Championship team after making just 11 Serie A appearances in Roberto Donadoni’s squad last term.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Munari will be arriving at Watford for the 2014-15 campaign on a season-long loan deal with an official announcement regarding his transfer expected to be made within the next week.

The Golden Boys finished 13th place in England’s second tier last term and are looking to make improvements to the club’s line up ahead of the new season in hopes of finishing in a higher position.

Munari arrived at Parma from Sampdoria for a fee of around €1.1 million in July 2013 and has spent his entire career in Italy thus far playing for other teams including Fiorentina, Sassuolo, Palermo and Lecce.
