Jackson Martinez - PortoAC Milan’s initial attempt to secure a replacement for Liverpool-bound Mario Balotelli was not encouraging after Portuguese side Porto declared that they will not sell Colombian forward Jackson Martinez.

The Rossoneri vice-president Adriano Galliani and Porto’s president Pinto da Costa met to discuss the 27-year-old on the afternoon of August 22 but the Dragoes boss made it clear that they have no intention of letting Martinez leave for San Siro.

“Jackson Martinez is unsellable: We will not sell the attacker,” said da Costa according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

According to reports, Milan were ready to make a €20 million bid for the former Chiapas and Independiente Medellin man who is believed to have a release clause in his contract worth around €30m.

Martinez featured 30 times for Porto during the 2013-14 Portuguese league season and scored 20 goals.

He also scored two goals for Colombia in the 2014 World Cup after playing three times for the national side in Brazil.
