Dynamo Kiev midfielder Miguel Veloso has expressed his desire to leave the Ukrainian giants, and admitted Fiorentina are an attractive option.

Veloso is one of a number of players currently seeking moves away from their Ukrainian clubs, with six Shakhtar Donetsk players going so far as refusing to board flights back to Ukraine after a pre-season friendly in France, and the Portuguese international maintains its a widespread feeling throughout the league.

“That’s for sure,” was Veloso’s blunt response when asked by reporters from TuttoMercatoWeb if the current conflict is pushing players to seek moves abroad.

“But, as for me, I had already expressed a desire to leave. But not everything depends on me, it lies in the hands of the Dynamo president.”

Veloso has been continuously linked with a move to Fiorentina this summer, but refuses to rule out any possibilities when it comes to a transfer.

“I really like Fiorentina, its a massive club with great players,” he continued. “But there are other teams interested in me as well, and they could be able to satisfy the demands of the Dynamo president.

“Everyone knows what I want, I just hope we can achieve it.”

Former Genoa star Veloso also gave his opinion on Il Grifone’s chances ahead of the new season, seeing many positives since the return of coach Gian Piero Gasperini last season.

“I think they have made some great buys, and the coach knows how to form a togetherness in the team. At home, with those fantastic fans, they can take on any team in Serie A.

“If they can gain just a little more away from home, then there will be a real qualitative leap.”
