Juventus and Roma will have to  battle it out for Olympiacos’ 23-year-old defender Kostas Manolas after the Giallorosi joined in the hunt for the player.

The Old Lady have already been linked with a move for the Greece international this summer and could now face stiff competition in the form of Roma to secure Manolas’ signature.

Club officials from Olympiacos have, in the last two days, spoken to both interested parties and have set an asking price of around €15 million according to Il Tempo, but the Greek club could allow Manolas to leave for €12m with Roma being the most likely move as Juventus are not willing to pay such a figure.

Manolas impressed at the recent World Cup as Greece reached the knock-out stages of the tournament for the very first time in their history and at club level he has been key to Olympiacos’ two most recent league titles.
