Roma are reportedly close to finalizing a deal to acquire Lille defender Marko Basa.
The capital club are looking to strengthen their defensive line with the Montenegrin as talks with Bayern Munich over Mehdi Benatia’s transfer continue.
Basa’s transfer will reportedly cost the Giallorossi €4 million plus a €3 million bonus over two years, according to Il Messaggero.
With Basa expected to join the Lupi in the coming days, it is believed his signing will not effect the Giallorossi’s pursuit of Tottenham defender Vlad Chiriches.
The Montenegrin international helped Lille to a third place finish in Ligue 1 last year, allowing them to qualify for the Champions League playoff where they are squaring off against Porto.
